This ignition kit has been on the drawing board for a long time but as I’d sold my two scooters there was no real incentive to push it further forward. However, a few interested parties came along and I decided it was a worth quest. The first objective was to check everything could be made to fit, so as always some extensive CAD modelling was done to check the assembly. Once this was complete the focus fell on simplifying the assembly as much as possible and engineer out as much complexity as I could. It took some time and there were some school boy errors but not the end of the world. The biggest headache is working with the Aprilia loom and how to communicate the modification to customers.
