This ignition conversion uses components readily sourced from Aprilia RS125 motorcycles. Once installed and working, there
are a number of “plug and play” aftermarket programmable CDI units, visit for details. The OEM Aprilia CDI has what is known as an
“emissions dip” around 5- 6k RPM, this dip can be removed by “de-restricting” your CDI, see instructions here: The chances are that if your CDI is from Ebay, it has
already been done, check to see if the resin potting looks tampered with, if it has then it’s been tinkered with.
