I built an engine into the very first production Granturismo Lambretta case numbered GT200*0001. the process involved stripping down a working engine and transferring all the parts into the new case to make sure that everything would fit.
The engine went together very well.
Below is video footage of its first few miles. 09/06/16
GT200 engine case builds 1st few miles
the new GT Lambretta engine case, case number 0001 does its first few miles.
images of the build:
Case number One
Drive bearing went in well
Mag Transfer port
The mag was an Italian one and needed the transfer port area matching to the case. The new GT mag lines up perfectly.
Loads of meat
Seal plate fits perfect
Drive plate sits down level
1st problem
On this prototype case I found the trench was not wide enough, This was corrected on production cases.
